Creative Communities Think Critically

Gina is a formally trained educator with a decade of experience teaching creativity, community building, and critical thinking. As a type A creative dedicated to equity and access, her work is rooted in empowering individual voices so they can authentically contribute to the collective. Gina has worked with ages 4 to 99 and is at home in any field where people are centered. She is known for process optimization, culturally responsive curriculum, and learning through play! Timelines and physical games are her love language.

Gina has worked with the Metropolitan Opera Guild, the Little Orchestra Society, Culture Lab, The Tank NYC, McGill University, Lux Performing Arts, and the Community Voices Choir.

Gina Hanzlik has been a performance coach for small ensembles. She has lead workshops including “tips for the soloist” and “400 years of high notes.” During our growing years, she provided consultation on overall workshop structure and provided syllabus ideas that formed the basis for many workshops in the succeeding years. Her breadth of performance experience combined with her pedagogy background has made her an invaluable partner.

Her energy and enthusiasm for her topic is so infectious and both students and directors have responded with equal enthusiasm.
